– “FURSUITERS TURN THE CITY INTO A HAPPIER PLACE”
This is what furries are for! This is why I post about Street Fursuiting.
Reddit has the article from Dutch news, with English translation from generous sharer NoctisIgnem:
“This saturday Eindhoven got livened up by 30 fantastical animals. Photo opportunities and hugs were available all around. ‘Whenever furries or fursuiters turn up they put a smile on people’s faces, both young and old.'”
– SAKURA FOX: “SUITING SUGGESTIONS 6: WATER CIRCULATING COMPRESSION SHIRTS”
A new addition to a great series from a fabulous fox.
More “Suiting Suggestions” in previous features with Sakura about Street Fursuiting.
– ANTHROCON 2014 POCKET PROGRAM
Panels and programming revealed in latest draft. See you there in a few weeks!

The below story comes with many concerns. It does NOT represent positive activities above or anyone in them. I preferred not to post it under it’s own headline. Until allegations are fairly judged in court, let news be shared because it’s important to make a statement. This is NOT what furries are for. We do NOT condone such activity and will report it as crime. (Submitted by Higgs Raccoon of Furrymedia):
– ILLINOIS COMMUNITY MEMBER ARRESTED, CHARGED WITH 10 FELONIES
John A. Fernandez, known in the furry community as artist Vamplust Blackmore, has been arrested for possession of child pornography.
The 23-year-old resident of Freeport, Illinois, was arrested on Wednesday February 5, as part of "Operation Glass House," a statewide initiative launched by the office of Illinois Attorney General Lisa Madigan. Madigan's investigators, with the assistance of the Freeport Police department and the Stephenson County State's Attorney's office, conducted a search of a residence in Freeport and arrested Fernandez after evidence of alleged child pornography was discovered.
Fernadez was charged with seven counts of possessing child pornography, and three counts of dissemination of child pornography. All counts are Class X felonies, punishable by 6-30 years in state prison. Fernandez is being held in the Stephenson County Jail with a bond of $200,000.
… moving on …

– NEW YORK CITY’S BANNED PETS LIST: GOOD NEWS
(…FURRIES AREN’T ON IT!) NYC has a long list of banned pets, but it’s now reconsidering its ban on Ferrets:
Mayor Bill de Blasio prides himself on confronting New York’s knottiest civic problems, such as expanding classroom time for preschoolers and lowering the cost of urban housing. Now his administration is sinking its teeth into a friskier challenge: legalizing ferrets.
Oh my… for good taste, let’s skip the knotty parts. The banned pets list has no hybrid animal people. If you’re one of the species, don’t make plans to move.
– CRAZY NATURE ARTICLE:
“Fantastically Wrong: The Poor, Misunderstood Hyena Can’t Help That It Has Weird Sex”
(Does any of this sound familiar, especially to friendly Hyena Furries in the community?) From Wired:
“Unfair maligning of the hyena goes back 2,000 years, to Pliny’s fanciful description of the creature as having “certain magic arts by which it causes every animal at which it gazes three times to stand rooted to the spot.” It didn’t help the hyena’s image that the Middle Ages’ bestiaries –encyclopedias of creatures both real and imagined – seemed to go out of their way to paint the creatures as brutal thugs and sexual deviants.”
