Owners of Inkedfur, Exotic Erotics, and Party Animals West finally accountable for abuse, but a deeper problem remains

Owners of 3 businesses capitalized on fandom despite years of complaints. Now they face consequences for contributing to the abuse of children and animals:

  • (1) Inkedfur owner arrested. Inkedfur is a printing service used by popular furry adult artists since 2014. The owner Sangie had a sex crime conviction in the 2000’s, and kept raising allegations of shady business and pedophilia while dealing at conventions that disregarded his record. He was recently arrested again as part of an FBI operation against child sex abuse. The arrest was in May 2025, but it doesn’t seem to have reached community notice yet.
  • (2) Exotic Erotics rejected. Exotic Erotics sells sex toys, including “life cast” toys made by manipulating real animals’ genitalia. This pushed the adult market deep into murky ethics, but they kept being welcome next to regular dealers at conventions from 2009 to 2025. It’s never too late to stop ignoring things, and their inclusion at Midwest Furfest 2025 raised a storm of protest on social media before the con parted ways with them.
  • (3) Party Animals West owner convicted. Party Animals West (PAW) rented clubs for parties attended by hundreds, with a group of 1000 supporters. The owner Frisky was reported to police for CSAM possession years ago when his parties were based in Las Vegas, with no results. He got away from the allegations by relocating and resuming operation in the San Francisco Bay area, until he was arrested for new child abuse in 2024. Other group runners allowed the child victim inside after being warned of risk and overruling it; and a fellow group runner was arrested for the same crimes. Associates tried to bury it, but Frisky was just convicted in late 2025.

Bad leadership surrounds sex crime case with Party Animals West (PAW) owner in San Francisco

Two arrested during preparation for a big party

On 9/26/2024, a popular furry event organizer (Frisky Hyena) and another group leader were arrested together for child sex crimes. They have been in jail without bond since then. Both had furry scene influence in the San Francisco Bay area, after Frisky relocated there from Las Vegas. This report features Steven “Frisky” Darling as the owner of Party Animals West (PAW), with an LLC registered in Nevada.

Frisky’s organization used a team of helpers to throw parties around the year, sometimes with rooms at conventions, or partnered with other furry brands or DJ’s. PAW also hosted a chat group of 1000 followers who would mobilize support across furry spaces. Their larger events would attract hundreds of paying attendees, using venues with professional light and sound, like a barcade chain with locations in several big cities. Many gave support without knowing Frisky’s secrets, but after he was jailed, his partner Scoop stepped in to play one of his surrogates for actions that are very controversial now.

For the last weekend of September, supporters were looking forward to a huge occasion in San Francisco. Folsom Street Fair would draw hundreds of thousands for kink-themed activities, including many furries to the PAW barcade party on 9/29/2024. As it approached, on 9/27/2024, Frisky’s surrogate Scoop decided to tell the PAW chat group that Frisky’s phone was broken and he couldn’t answer. His accounts were allegedly accessed for impersonation messages to tell close contacts he was taking a break.

The COVID-19 pandemic has postponed Sin City Murr Con. It’s planned to be the furry fandom’s first explicitly adult kink-themed convention.

SCMC also stands out as a con from Corgi Events, who organize GSFC, Aquatifur, DenFur, and PDFC. It’s furry fandom’s first multi-event managing company, with the idea of a paycheck letting the CEO do this full-time. Despite fear that paying someone is the tip of a Bad Dragon-sized capitalist intrusion, advancing a grab-bag of cons could be the foot in the door for the kink one.

This is a hit to fandom expression AND business. Several furries had a group chat about the postponing.

Lux, a furry artist in California, didn’t see such a big issue. She felt like SCMC might not have gone over well due to being “neither part of the kink scene or the local Las Vegas scene. Las Vegas seems like an all right place for a furry convention without the gimmick you know? And a furry track could be slotted into another kink event that happens in Las Vegas, rather than the other way around. Las Vegas hosts adult films expo and sex toy conventions if I’m not mistaken.”

I felt like explicit kink friendliness is a big deal, many furry people ARE kink scene people, and Las Vegas local furries haven’t made the effort for their own con. (They had Elliott’s Live Events, but that was more of a private party.) I saw a bigger issue.

The King of Las Vegas, by John Van Stry – book review by Fred Patten

The King of Las Vegas, by John Van Stry

John Van Stry has written four Hammer Commission novels; The Hammer Commission, Wolf Killer, Loose Ends, and The King of Las Vegas. They are set in a world where demons, devils, monsters, and vampires are real. Three of the four feature Mark Levin, a demon-devil-monster-vampire hunter for the FBI and Interpol who is a monster himself. Mark and his French partner Jake are minor characters in The King of Las Vegas, which features a rakshasa.

A traditional rakshasa is an Indian (Hindustani) demon, usually described as a huge fanged cannibal who can shape-shift and live hundreds of years. In Van Stry’s novel, it’s a tiger-striped shape-shifter who can turn into a tiger (not a were-tiger; the distinction becomes important in the story) that happens to be a good guy. Rafael is an American college student on vacation in India who is captured and enslaved by a Rakshasa (Van Stry sometimes capitalizes it) and is turned into one himself.

Eleven years later Rafael escapes to American Catholic missionaries in India, and is turned over by them to Mark and Jake. When they determine that Rafael doesn’t want to prey on anyone, he just wants to return to America, they help him out. As a rakshasa, he needs lots of meat, he feeds on strong emotions, and he has to be near tigers. The best place in America for that is Las Vegas – the casinos provide plenty of cheap meals, the gamblers provide the strong emotions, he can pass his tiger stripes as makeup or tattoos for an act, and several Las Vegas attractions and magicians have live tigers.
